L’Hoest’s monkeys are fairly good looking as far as monkeys go. They are old world monkeys classified in the genus Cercopithecus, known as the guenons in English.

L’Hoest’s monkeys are mountain creatures and they live in forests sometimes as high as 2500 metres. L’Hoest’s monkeys in the wild live in Africa and their range includes the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda.

L’Hoest’s monkeys are omnivorous. They live mostly on fruits, herbs, roots and leaves but they also eat mushrooms and all sorts of small animals they can catch.
