The eastern diamondback rattlesnake has a potent venom that can be deadly. Since it is an aggressive snake one better give it some space when one encounters a diamondback rattlesnake in the wild.
Some people — for reasons that I don’t fully comprehend — like to keep eastern diamondback rattlesnakes as pets at home. My first advice would be to just resist the urge to get one.
