The Victoria crowned pigeon is a large pigeon from New Guinea that was named after Queen Victoria.

Victoria crowned pigeons are very beautiful, in fact quite possibly the most beautiful of of all pigeons. Their delicate lace-like crest is certainly something to behold.
Victoria crowned pigeons usually forage on the forest floor in groups and tend to do everything together. Like many pigeons, Victoria crowned pigeons tend to mate for life.
